Hurricane Sandy Rebuild with Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan's Purse has requested a group of ten volunteers from our Church to volunteer with a rebuild. If you are available and would like to volunteer with our group - either sign up at Church or email Sharon Sealy @ sjsealy@hometel.com.

Or - just contact Carol King, Samaritan's Purse Volunteer Coordinator at 732-349-1550 ext. 500 or
cking@samaritan.org and let her know what day you can volunteer - they like at least 5 days notice so they can schedule the work sites. You can volunteer any day Mon-Sat.

The volunteer hours are 7:30am-3:30pm at The Church of Grace and Peace, 1563 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ. Once you arrive, park in the parking lot behind the Church on the right. You will enter into the Family Life bldg (far left entry in the rear of the Church) and then follow the signs upstairs to the volunteer registration desk. You will be given a t-shirt, some release forms to sign, and a quick safety briefing. Then you will be assigned to a team leader, given an address and then go out and work. Easy!! You bring you own tools if you have them. Hammer, favorite paint brush, etc. They have some you can use, but if you bring your own - more work can get done!! Bring a sack lunch!!

You must be at least 14 years of age. You need to come dressed ready to work. Sturdy shoes (water proof if possible), jeans, gloves. You will be given a Samaritan's Purse t-shirt that you are required to wear on the job site - so plan ahead (you can wear it over a thermal shirt, t-shirt, etc. depending on the weather).

They are in need of volunteers for every kind of task, skilled and unskilled. To get to be a part of what God is doing along the Jersey Shore through Samaritan's Purse Volunteers is amazing.

Through Christ all things are possible!
